<p>Best known for gorgeous candles and signature scents, cult Irish fragrance brand La Bougie has just launched its very first body care collection. And frankly? Your bathroom shelf is about to get an upgrade.</p>



<p>Made in Kinsale, La Bougie is one of Ireland’s best-loved luxury fragrance brands. Every scent is created entirely in-house by founder and perfumer Lucy Hagerty, who blends nuanced fragrances from scratch using aromatics and botanicals sourced from around the globe.</p>



<p>The result is fragrance with real depth and personality – inspired by Lucy’s travels, her family home in Tuscany and a life spent between Ireland and the Hampshire coast. </p>

<p>Now, after three years in development, those signature scents are making their way into a luxurious new bodycare range. Designed to elevate the everyday, the collection places fragrance firmly at the heart of the experience. The result? Beautiful formulations that gently nourish hair and skin while leaving behind scent that lingers long after use.</p>



<p>And these are not your average body products. Think rich, creamy washes, soft skin-loving lotions and salon-worthy shampoo and conditioner designed to leave hair silky, manageable and beautifully scented.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-scent-to-please-the-la-bougie-body-care-collection">Scent to please &#8211; the La Bougie body care collection</h2>



<p>The new La Bougie body care collection includes Hand &amp; Body Lotion (£28), Body Wash (£25) and Shampoo &amp; Conditioner (£25), available in some of the brand’s most-loved fragrances. First in the new lineup: Mission Fig, Coconut &amp; Hibiscus, Honeysuckle &amp; Sea Salt, Tuscan Bergamot, Pomelo 1830 and Sage &amp; Bitter Orange.</p>



<p>Each scent has its own distinct personality. Coconut &amp; Hibiscus blends salted coconut with jasmine and ylang ylang for a tropical floral with a sophisticated salty edge. Meanwhile Honeysuckle &amp; Sea Salt pairs delicate, sweet florals with crystalline sea salt and white musk for that fresh-off-the-coast feeling Lucy describes as “clean, warm, and not quite what you expected”.</p>

<p>Mission Fig – the brand’s signature scent – was inspired by an ancient fig tree at Lucy’s family home in Tuscany, combining parched earth, fig leaf and blond wood notes into the warm, addictive fragrance fans can never quite stop talking about.</p>



<p>Meanwhile Tuscan Bergamot layers bright citrus with sage and lavender for an elegant Mediterranean feel. Pomelo 1830 gives grapefruit and gin notes a spicy twist with coriander seed. And Sage &amp; Bitter Orange channels what Lucy calls an “Italian barbershop fragrance” with neroli, petitgrain, mandarin and geranium.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-planet-friendlier-packaging">Planet-friendlier packaging</h2>



<p>There’s substance behind the style too. Every bottle in the La Bougie body care collection is made using Prevented Ocean Plastic™. Essentially, plastic gathered by coastal communities within 50km of the ocean and intercepted before it can enter the water. The bottles are entirely metal-free and fully recyclable too, combining thoughtful formulation with planet-conscious design.</p>
