The cosy chalet-style lodge returns to The Grosvenor Hotel with a gourmet après-ski menu including raclette and Tarte Tatin. Warm up with Moose cocktails and Vin chaud and sleep it off in one of the 34 individually designed and refurbed bedrooms.

Bring the kids for this one – there’s face painting, woodland walks and big wooden bear spotting at Wylds Farm in Liss, East Hants. Rustic rather than raging, the Après Tree Bar is nonetheless well stocked with a weekend-friendly choice of ales, mulled wines and warm winter spiced apple.

Another strong returner this winter, The Alpine Bar pop up at The Cliff House Barton has all the flavours of your favourite winter ski destinations. On the menu, tartiflette, Alpine burgers, baked camembert, mulled wine, Christmas G&Ts, steins of beer and luxe hot chocolates (boozy and regular). Look out for live music from local acts on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sundays.

Book a ski pass for this popular new weekend après ski lodge and bar in Southsea. Right next to the iconic Queens Hotel, the snow machine, twinkling lights and wooden walls set the scene for winter warmers like mulled wine and Gingerbread White Russian cocktails, Alpine Hot Dogs and cheese fondue. Bobble hats and fair isle jumpers are de rigueur.

Themed as a traditional Christmas lodge with veranda seating, vintage skis, fir garlands and glowing fire, this French vodka collab après ski bar is part of a massive food, drink and music venue beneath seven converted railway arches at London Bridge. Try a few winter vodka cocktails and get your Insta snaps beside the festive gondola. Each Saturday throughout December, bust some moves under the glitterballs as live DJs pump out the alpine disco.

Yodel-ooh-hu-hu! Tucked away in the basement bar, Archer Street has transformed its Soho beach shack into a ‘piste’ ski lodge cocktail bar. Think antlers, sheepskins and winter cocktails with après ski cheese and charcuterie nibbles, Italian pizza, dancing on tables and spontaneous singing from the staff.

Housed in a modern City of London block and open all day, The White Haus is a perpetual ski chalet spread over three floors with rustic-style décor like vintage skis, cuckoo clocks and bookable vintage cable car seating. On the menu are burgers, and German staples like schnitzel, pickles and sauerkraut, cocktails and clinkable steins of bier.
