10 Best Children’s Tomes

Something for the mini-bookworms amongst us.  To celebrate World Book Day, Clare Maltby, Children’s Manager of Winchester’s P&G Wells has chosen her very favourite books for small people. If you haven’t popped into this wonderful indy bookshop tucked away in Kingsgate Village, read my review then trot down next time you get a moment. The children’s section is chokka with beautifully illustrated tomes, plus there are story sessions on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

Grandad’s Island by Benji Davies

After the phenomenal success of The Storm Whale and On Sudden Hill, this new book by Benji Davies deals with the emotional topic of losing a grandparent. Subtly told, this beautifully illustrated book tackles a difficult subject with great sensitivity and depth.
