<p>Cars, music, food – this Hampshire August Bank Holiday festival has it all. Curated by Chris Evans, CarFest is a jam-packed weekend of supercar displays, retro rides, chef demos, wellness workshops and headline sets from <em>Travis, Tom Walker</em> and <em>Madness</em>. Equal parts petrolhead playground and family festival heaven, all supporting terrific causes.</p>

Meet them at Ropley Station, enjoy unlimited steam train rides, and explore the heritage railway. With games, trails, workshops and plenty of family activities, it’s the perfect day out for little Heelers.</p>

Catch soul, jazz &amp; pop vocalist Charlie Greenwood and singer, songwriter and covers pro, Sophie May Waters. Try locally brewed beers and other tasty tipples. Tuck in with BBQ feasts galore and beat your kids/partner/pal at garden games. Err, competitive, moi?</p>

Victorious is Portsmouth’s must-visit music festival, once again pulling in huge names (<em>Queens of the Stone Age, Kaiser Chiefs</em> and <em>Madness</em>, anyone?) alongside comedy, kids’ zones and a fresh new wellness area. Add beachy sunsets into the mix and you’ve got a festival that feels like a holiday.</p>

Lainston House is rolling out two dreamy open-air screenings on the South Lawn: <em>A Star Is Born</em> (Fri 22) with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s unforgettable love story and all-time classic <em>Dirty Dancing</em> (Sat 23). Cue Patrick Swayze, Baby, and plenty of swooning. Tickets are £20 (movie only) or £35 if you fancy wood-fired pizza and ice cream with your film (worth it!). Gates open from 7pm, with screenings starting at sunset.</p>

Slip into soulful vibes with <em>Motown by Moonlight</em> (22 Aug), bringing Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross to life. Then finish big with <em>21st Century Queen</em> (23 Aug) belting out all the classics from <em>Radio Ga Ga </em>to <em>Bohemian Rhapsody</em>. Book single nights or grab a discounted Festival Pass – either way, it’s pure summer magic.</p>
