The Tate’s ARTIST ROOMS: Agnes Martin, The Gallery, Winchester Discovery Centre, Thu Jul 5 – 5 Oct
World-class art comes to Winchester. Agnes Martin was one of America’s foremost abstract painters and this exhibition, part of Tate’s highly prestigious ARTIST ROOMS scheme, is definitely worth a visit or five. Apparently, to really appreciate the calming, grounding nature of Martin’s work, you need see it regularly; entirely possible with this three-month-long exhibition.
