Gotta Have It

We're circling jewellery with circle motifs this week, like this unusual ring. The design symmetry helps us feel balanced. Er, apparently. Think self-care in shopping form!

Need a bit of balance in your life but can’t quite be bothered to read a self-help book or manage a downward dog with your hangover? I’m hearing you, sister! Much easier, I find, to go buy a piece of jewellery for an instant spiritual uplift – quite apart from looking drop dead gorgeous, circular jewellery will (*cough*) guarantee divine symmetry and balance. There, I bet you’re feeling better already.

Biagio multi stone and cubic zirconia ring, £99

This unusual, colourful ring from the multi-award-winning Oxfordshire jeweller is a real talking point, and excellently priced too. Cocktail ring, you say? Make mine a martini, thanks.

Astrid & Miyu rose gold and cubic zirconia earrings, £59

I spent way too much money on this well-priced indie brand’s earrings. I usually go for diddy hoops and studs but these Saturn-inspired rose gold ones make a serious statement.

Whistles resin earrings, £28

Whistles jewellery range is underrated, I reckon. Case in point: these tortoiseshell resin circular earrings. Resin is still going strong this season and they’re in the sale – boom.

Rosantica at Net-a-Porter wooden earrings, £155

There’s something about these super-summery hoops that make me want to lounge on a yacht (hello sailor!). They’re hand-made in Milan, doncha know.

Biagio silver and cubic zirconia necklace, £119

Two circles for the price of one?  You got it.

Brave Lotus charm bracelet, £42

This bohemian bangle from this Marlow-based indie brand has summer festivals written all over it. The charms are a compass (so you can find your way back from the beer tent), a feather and a labradorite gemstone. Cute.

Balenciaga silver and neon resin earrings, £295

You’ve been warned – neon brights are BACK and there will be no escape over the coming seasons. Dip a toe (actually make that an ear) into the trend with this cooler-than-cool Balenciaga pair.

Aurelie Bidermann at Net-a-Porter gold, shell and enamel bracelet, £350

This French designer always nails gorgeously summery pieces like this link bracelet dotted with cute enamelled cowrie shells. Shall we go on holiday right now?
