The rehydrating glow-up: Aqua3 Facial at Time to be Me, Petersfield
New at Petersfield’s Time to be Me salon (above), word is spreading fast about the Aqua3 facial treatment. So naturally, I stepped up and gave it a whirl. Having walked in jaded, I came out looking and feeling super fresh and glowy. Tingly rather than stingy, the Aqua3 involves a gunk-removing deep gel cleanse, skin vacuum and mild microdermabrasion. Great at this time of year, it hydrates, too, with an oxygenating mask to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. An added bonus, the super-relaxing head massage my therapist did was immense. A definite beauty boost. £55 – £170.
The celeb pick: HydraFacial at Richmond House Beauty, Winchester

A go-to globally for beauty editors and A-Listers, the HydraFacial targets fine lines and wrinkles with hyaluronic acid and collagen stimulation. After deep cleansing, exfoliation and extraction, it hydrates with intensive serums using a patented HydroPeel tip. Fans say the end result is super-clean skin without any redness or irritation. £50 – £195.
The acne tackler: Clear Cell Purifying Facial at The Ocean Beauty Rooms, Southampton
If you suffer from oily, problematic skin the deep-cleansing Clear Cell Purifying Facial at Southampton’s Ocean Beauty Rooms is a good choice for a targeted, decongesting facial. Using naturally decongesting and anti-inflammatory glycolic acid, salicylic acid, tea tree, arnica and chamomile, it cleans, soothes and calms. £59.
The lunchtime recharge: Pro Facial at Orchids Retreat, Lymington

Tight for time? Book out a few lunchtimes in your diary now then go and see Diana Jenner and her team at Orchids Retreat (above). Based at a shiny new clinic in the Roundhouse Courtyard in Lymington, the targeted Pro30 Facial (£50) delivers a speedy skin reboot, treating individual woes. If the short version won’t cut it, the super-charged Pro 60 version (£90) gets really stuck in to penetrate deeper layers of the skin.
The radiance booster: RegimA facial at Arcana Hair & Beauty, Winchester
Don’t book a RegimA facial if you want a snoozy, relaxing hour. The fruit acids it uses can sting a bit, but the initial mildly uncomfortable feeling quickly calms down. And it absolutely won’t harm your skin. After road-testing this South African-developed facial at Winchester’s Arcana Hair & Beauty, Muddy’s Robyn said her previously dehydrated, dull-feeling skin felt amazing – soft, shiny and oh-so clean. Shine on, sister! £50 – £85.
