The ancient manor house is steeped in history and now provides a magical backdrop for intimate weddings. You can hire the venue out exclusively, complete with it numerous fairy statutes and Liberace-esque decor, for a wedding ranging from just yourselves to 60 guests.

Well, if it’s good enough for Queen Victoria… Did you know that you can hire out Osborne House as a wedding venue? This English Heritage building is known for being Queen Victoria’s favourite place in the world, and where she and Prince Albert raised their family. You can choose from no less than seven settings (including the beach) to have your ceremony (ranging from 30 to 120 people) and they can even cater for up to 2,500 guests (Yes, 2,500!) for your reception.

This award-winning catering firm covers everything from canapes to fully formal dinners, with food sourced from as close to Hampshire as possible. If you’re a huge foodie and particular about your wine, then make sure a visit the Basingstoke-based warehouse shop of Berry Brothers & Rudd is on your wedding to-do list. This London wine merchant has been selecting vintages for over 300 years and with that huge knowledge, the Hampshire store is stocked to the brim with excellent wine. Choose from a range of 400 wines starting at £5, up to £1,000 for a bottle.
Buttercream, Red Velvet, ganache…. there are SO many choices when it comes to wedding cakes. Thank god for GatesBakes. This cake company is run by the mega-talented Alice Gates, and she can create bespoke cakes for any occasion – in particular weddings. Whether you want a 3-tiered traditional fruitcake or mini-cupcakes for all your guests, Alice will work with you to find the perfect flavour and style to suit your tastes.
