This poignant and funny re-imagination of the witches from Oz has been enthralling audiences for well over a decade and it’s easy to see why. FESTIVAL: Isle of Wight Literary Festival, Thu 11 – Sun 14 Oct
At Muddy, we love to curl up with a good book, but we also love heading out and about – and that’s why the Isle of Wight Literary Festival is so up our street. The annual offering is rammed with fascinating authors, notable ‘slebs who’ve turned to the pen and adventurers sharing their tales. Expect talks that are heart-warming, thought-provoking and generally entertaining.

POP UP: Sky Dining at the Spinnaker, Portsmouth, Fri 12 – Sat 13 Oct
Set your sights (and stomachs) skyward, as Sky Dining ascends to the Emirates Spinnaker this month. The seven-course menu is the first event from celebrated local chef Gary Pearce, and will celebrate his love of food and the area he grew up in. With a CV boasting 3 Michelin star restaurants and a breathtaking view of the Solent, this is set to be a special night.

It’s vintage, dahling! Monis-Londres, a cheeky little vintage boutique on Portsmouth’s Castle Road, is holding their annual Fill A Bag event this weekend. This means you can grab a whole load of retro gems and on-trend 70s garb for the princely sum of just £10 for a medium bag or £20 for a big one. This isn’t just any old nonsense either, the owner used to run her stall in London’s trendy vintage markets and handpicks her stock from across Europe. Make sure you get there early as this one gets quite a queue.
