COMEDY: Rich Hall’s Hoedown, Southhampton, Thurs 27 Sep
Join US comedian Rich Hall and his virtuoso musical mates for a mash-up of music and comedy. His deadpan grumpy style has earned him fans all over the world and he’s a well-known face on TV comedy shows like Have I Got News For You and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Here he proves he’s a darn good musician too.
OUTDOOR CINEMA: Grease, Havant Park, Thurs 27 Sep
Don your headphones for a Silent Summer Screening of cult classic Grease under the stars. If you can’t make this one, head on down to Fleet on Fri 28 for La La Land, Oscar winning toe-tapping extravaganza. They’ll be food and drinks to buy on both sites but don’t forget to wrap up warm and take a blanket!

COFFEE FESTIVAL: Winchester, Sat 29 Sep
Celebrate all things coffee at the first ever Winchester Coffee Festival taking place in the Guildhall on Saturday 29 September. Try roasting your own coffee, meet coffee roasters, taste coffee cocktails, enjoy live music and a DJ and then buy all the equipment to become a home barista!
TALK/COMEDY: Ruby Wax, How to be Human, Southampton, Sat 28 and Sun 29 Sep
Ruby’s manual How to be Human, published in January, sets out to answer life’s big questions and with the help of a monk and a neuroscientist she does a pretty convincing job. Her show of the same name is a chance to join in the conversation – in fact she actively encourages audience input. Ruby uses her razor sharp wit and her knowledge of Psychotherapy and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (she has a Masters in it from Oxford University, doncha know) to discuss everything from evolution, to emotions, to sex, to relationships and more. Sounds fascinating.
