Pop in for Pop-Ups

Sometimes it's hard to find the gifts that are both thoughtful AND unique, however, at these amazing seasonal pop-up events, you'll be able to do just that... and treat yourself too of course.

Winchester Christmas Market, Tue 20 Nov – Sat 22 Dec

christmas present wrapping

Not so much a pop-up as an absolutely epic Christmas Market. Winchester *always* delivers the goods when it comes to Christmas cheer and frivolity, and this year’s market is looking to continue that trend.

Filled with wooden German stalls to give it that authentic Christmassy vibe, plus businesses selling everything you can imagine regarding Christmas, this is the place to get your jingle on.
Christmas in Lymington, Fri 23 Nov
Lymington is lovely any time of the year but it’s especially wonderful at Christmas. Head toward this New Forest town for a range of stalls and events to get you prepped and ready for Yuletide. Not only will you have your pick of the New Forest food producers (Oh, yes!), but there’s also a giant snowglobe photobooth, the Christmas lights switch on AND, to top it all off there’s free parking. Woohoo!
Victorian Christmas at Osborne House, East Cowes, Isle of Wight, Sat 1 – Sun 2 Dec

Let’s take it back, retro-style to where Christmas really came into its own. We all know how Queen Victoria’s hubby, Prince Albert, brought lots of his German traditions into the homes of the Brits. Well, with that in mind it makes sense that the Queen’s favourite house is the ideal place to get into the Christmas Spirit. This fair, run by English Heritage, is a quintessential Victorian Christmas. There’s rides and activities for the kids, plus some amazing stalls – it even goes into the evening, so you can see the (thankfully modern) Christmas lights sparkle in all their glory. We ARE amused.

Etsy Made Local Southampton Christmas Pop-Up, The Spark Building, Southampton, Sun 2 Dec

The Whimsical Kitchen Christmas Treats

The Whimsical Kitchen

There are some SUPER talented crafters in and around Southampton and while most of the time they’re popping their wares up on Etsy, this Etsy Made Local event brings all of that offline and into the real world. This is a great place to snaffle a few unique Christmas presents in the run-up to the big day. I’m a BIG fan of The Whimsical Kitchen, its edible creations are almost too cute to eat (almost…) and Hey Hey Ginger makes adorable brooches and patches that are ideal stocking fillers for tweens.

Traders Keep Christmas Pop-up, Round Tower, Portsmouth, Sun 2 Dec
Traders KeepOld Portsmouth’s Hot Walls and Round Tower has been a massive welcome to the city. Here, at this creative hub, local artists and creators are able to create and sell their wares across the year. And, at Christmas, their Traders Keep market returns for a spectacular Christmas Pop-Up. This is the ideal spot to pick up a few unique Christmas gifts and stop at the wonderful Canteen for something good to eat and a peek through the porthole. Also, if you can’t wait that long there’s an event on the 18th November as well
Hannah’s B&B Christmas Market, Winchester, Tue 4 Dec
We’re super sad to hear that the gorgeous little B&B will be closing soon for the foreseeable future, but Hannah is still making sure that the festive season is off to a great start as she holds her annual Christmas Market. Featuring some of the finest traders in Winchester, this is a ticket only event and must be purchased in advance (but it’s definitely worth it!)
Warborne Farm Christmas Fayre, Boldre, Wed 5 – Thu 6 Dec

chistmas cookies

A cosy little pop-up to get you in the Christmas mood, not only is Warborne Farm stunningly beautiful but you’ll be treated to top quality traders, fabulous festive food, Christmas carolling and wine. Spread over two days, you’ll have a chance to get some Christmas presents and get yourself feeling all festive in time for the season. Muddy favourites Kempton Branson will be bringing some fab fashion as well.

Hampshire Pop-Up Studio’s Christmas Pop-Up, Stockbridge Town Hall, Fri 7 – Sat 8 Dec
This lovely little pop-up event also happens to coincide with the town’s Christmas light switch on. All the stallholders are from local crafters and range from ceramics and jewellery to food and drink. Head along to pick out a few choice gifts and grab an opportunity to eat lots of mince pies – it’s Christmas so it won’t count!
Rhinefield House Hotel Christmas Fayre, Sun 9 Dec

Rhinefield House - Snowy Exterior

With sweeping gardens and impressive turrets, Rhinefield House wouldn’t look out of place in a magical snowglobe. So, it’s understandable that they would be getting into the spirit of the season with their very own Christmas Market. Here you can find a range of stalls from local New Forest businesses including, but not limited to local gins, chocolate, various food products, arts, crafts and gifts.
