Superflashy Newsflash

Come over here, and we’ll give you the ALL goss’ of what’s happening in and around the county.

There’s some preeeetty exciting stuff happening in and around Hampshire at the moment – and, of course, we absolutely can’t keep it all to ourselves. Here comes the goss, hot off the presses.

Private dining at The Ivy Winchester

Ivy Winchester Collection Espresso MartiniOooh, fancy pants!  The Ivy in Winchester is opening its brand new private dining room on the 22 Oct. The private room will seat up to 24 or 40 for drinks and canapés, making it a super intimate setting for whatever occasion you have coming up. And that’s not all, with colourful vintage prints, metallic gold ceiling tiles (just like the cathedral) and two types of marble, it’s going to be feeling super luxe when you get in there.

Dice Board Game Lounge in Albert Road, Southsea opens on Tuesday 9 Oct!

MONOPOLY shot board game cafe openingSituated in what was the old Conservative Club, here you’ll be able to turn your aggressive winning streak on Monopoly into a much more genteel social occasion – there’s even coffee! Grand opening 11am.

A new Old Hotel

Greg Emmerson opens Table 22 eatery Old House Hotel Wickham Hampshire MasterchefThe Old Hotel in Wickham, Fareham, has just been snapped up by a new owner. This gorgeous little spot is going to be undergoing an extensive refit (a cool £250k) and relaunching with a brand new restaurant called Table 22. The new owners have brought in Masterchef semi-finalist Greg Emmerson to oversee the new eatery and I have the Muddy ‘tingly’ feeling that tells me this place could be amazeballs. Don’t worry, I’ll let you know when your table is ready.

Immersive action

Relaxed blissful sleep

You are feeling verrrry sleeeeepy… Southampton is getting it very own immersion tank centre, Limitless Float. Say what?! This is the first one I know about in the area (correct me, fact finders if you know better!), and it’s your chance to have a super-chill time bobbing around in a sensory deprivation tank with a launch next Tuesday.  I tried a floatation tank a few years back and promptly fell asleep for two hours. Seriously, they’re that relaxing.
