<p>Sitting stylishly in its own gardens on West Cliff, overlooking the sea in Bournemouth, this glam, retro styled, Miami-inspired luxury hotel has become quite the place to stay and play. So Superflashy is beside ourselves with excitement about plans to bring another <a href="https://thenici.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">5-star Nici</a> hotel to Town Quay in Southampton, complete with 30-metre infinity pool going out into Southampton water. Part of a whopping £200m regeneration scheme here, there&#8217;ll also be new residential flats, restaurants and a completely overhauled marina.</p>

<p>To the Forest. New at <a href="https://www.careysmanor.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Careys Manor</a> hotel in Brockenhurst, the <a href="https://www.careysmanor.com/restaurants/the-neigh-bar/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Neigh Bar</a> horsebox bar and alfresco pop up restaurant is open every Monday to Sunday (11am &#8211; 7.30pm) until the end of September. </p>



<p>Summery small plates like grilled prawns with Isle of Wight tomato and mango salsa and grilled octopus are made using lovely local produce and served up alongside fluffy, freshly-baked flat breads. Come for lunch and linger on for an early evening sundowner.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">All aboard the Lightship</h2>

<p>Another hot local summer opening? Why, step right this way! A high-end restaurant with rooftop bar and fabulous views looking out over Portsmouth Harbour, the Spinnaker Tower and passing yachts, when <a href="https://www.thelightshiphaslar.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Lightship</a> at Haslar Marina in Gosport has opened after an extensive renovation. And Superflashy was, of course, one of the first to go onboard.  </p>



<p>Local produce features heavily on both the food and drinks menu, including local cheese, Dorser charcuterie, English sparkling wine from The Grange vineyard, local beers and ales from Powder Monkey, Mermaid Gin and rum from Solent Spirit. Cheers!</p>

Following a million-pound investment, the 250-year-old <a href="https://www.thecartandhorses-kingsworthy.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cart and Horses</a> in Kings Worthy has just opened with beautiful new interiors and wild, countryside-inspired gardens making the perfect backdrop for alfresco dining and drinking (come on, sunshine!). <p>Did someone say cake? A new venture from a trio of female entrepreneurs, <a href="https://www.meadowstockbridge.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Meadow</a> is a pretty new café on Stockbridge&#8217;s idyllic High Street with pared back  interiors and a very tasty looking seasonal menu for brunch and lunch. It also has it&#8217;s own gallery, Mylo Art, showcasing works from emerging and established artists, as well as a curated programme of workshops and events. Culture and a coffee. Nice!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A-listers on the Isle of Wight</h2>



<p>Now here&#8217;s a celeb spot &#8211; Katy Perry and her fiancée Orlando Bloom Island-bound on board the Red Jet&#8217;s Red Funnel from Southampton. <a href="https://www.islandecho.co.uk/a-list-celebs-orlando-bloom-and-katy-perry-spotted-on-the-isle-of-wight/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">According to the Island Echo</a> they hopped in a water taxi and disappeared down the Medina. The celeb glamour couple have since re-emerged on the beach in St Tropez (natch).</p>

It’s the latest addition to his <a href="https://slowmotionretreats.net/about/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Slow Motion</a> wellness brand, which he runs with his wife Josie.</p>



<p>Sauna goers can enjoy panoramic views of the sea through a mirrored window. To enjoy the full benefits of the contrast therapy, Wim Hof-fan Rob suggests spending time in the sauna, before dipping in the sea and repeating.</p>

The owner of this fun, converted 1960s Boeing 737-200 near Marwell Zoo <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qb11adV4wI" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">featured on George Clarke&#8217;s amazing spaces</a>, has just got the green light from Winchester council to rent it out as an AirBnB. </p>



<p>Inside there&#8217;s loads of original features like seats, overhead lockers, a flight simulator in the cockpit and a hot tub in an old jet engine cowling. </p>
