<p>The biggest patch for miles, Sunnyfields’ annual pumpkin extravaganza is open from Sat 5 &#8211; Thurs 31 October 2024. Marvel at the towering pyramid display (did someone say Beetlejuice?) and unbelievably gigantic, record-breaking pumpkins. Spot spooky skeletons and of course, pose for endless Insta ops. Hungry? Treat yourself to wood-fired pizzas or the farm’s own burgers and hotdogs for lunch. </p>

<p>A whisker over the East Hants-Sussex border near Petersfield and celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, the annual Rogate Pumpkin Patch is an absolute autumnal extravaganza. Think pumpkin carving, face paints, a Skittles Alley, Pumpkin Shy, rides and a bumpy barrel train. Kids and Insta posers will absolutely love the spooky cornfield trail, artistic Halloween installations, mega spiders and giant bubble-making with Wanda the Witch.&nbsp;Visit daily from Fri 18&nbsp;Oct &#8211; Sun 3 November.</p>

<p>Borrow a barrow and Pick Your Own Pumpkins at this free to enter, family-friendly patch on the edge of the New Forest. It&#8217;s open from Saturday 12 – to Sunday 13 October for PYO plus crafts, carving, games and a barrel train, then daily from Saturday 19 &#8211; Thursday 31 October. On Friday 1 November, there’s a ticketed fundraising event with live music, food and drink and a firework display.</p>

<p>A go-to on the Island, Tapnell Farm Park&#8217;s free-to-enter <a href="https://tapnellfarm.com/play/events/pumpkin-festival" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">PYO pumpkin trail</a> is fun and super Instagrammable. Pull on your wellies and pick from a bumper crop on Sat 12 &#8211; Sun 31 October then daily from Sat 19 &#8211; Thurs 31 Oct. In the half term, there&#8217;ll also be ferret racing, gourd games&nbsp;and<strong>&nbsp;</strong>vintage funfair amusements during Tapnell&#8217;s fun Pumpkin Festival (Mon 28 – Thurs 31 October).</p>

<p>The picking season has already begun at this patch on the Dorset border, where you can choose a pre-picked pumpkin on head to the field and find your own. Then grab a hot coffee and a fresh pasty from the in-house bakery.</p>

<p>Another &#8216;no frills&#8217; pumpkin patch, if you just want to take a few autumnal picking snaps while choosing a gorgeous gourd or two, this 10-acre PYO farm is a great choice. While you&#8217;re here grab a bottle of farm-fresh milk or a cheeky &#8216;shake from the onsite vending machine.   </p>

<p>Pick up blue, pink and white and the traditional orange pumpkins at this free-to-enter dog and family-friendly North Hampshire PYO pumpkin patch (pre-book parking at £5 per car). It&#8217;s open Sat 12 &#8211; Sun 13 Oct, Sat 19 &#8211; Sun 20 Oct and daily from Thurs 24 &#8211; Thurs 31 Oct. Find Insta-worthy photo ops inside the pumpkin house, beside the vintage tractor and in front of huge pumpkin sign.</p>

<p>A traditional and friendly PYO at a&nbsp;third-generation family-run farm in Fareham, this pumpkin patch is a real favourite locally. There&#8217;s hot drinks available and the odd quirky installation (dinosaur on a tractor, anyone?). It’s all set to open this October but dates haven’t been announced so keep an eye on the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/SteveHarrisPYO/">Facebook</a> page.</p>

<p>Find a perfect pumpkin at Durleighmarsh PYO from Saturday 19 October &#8211; Thursday 31 October. Then head over to the Tea Barn for a loaded hot chocolate and something tasty from the cake counter.</p>

<p>Back for a second year, Droxford Pumpkin Patch near Bishop&#8217;s Waltham has loads of seasonal activities for trainee witches and wizards, like wand making,  potions, pumpkin carving and a Broomstick Academy, along with PYO pumpkins,  meet the sheep and hot Hoxton Bakehouse coffees for the grown-ups at Café Ca<em>boo</em>cino. Opening on Sat 19 – Sun 20, Thurs 24 &#8211; Sun 27 then again daily from Weds 30 – Sun 3 November.</p>

<p>Farming since 1961, Hollam Nurseries’ free-to-enter PYO pumpkin patch is another Hampshire go-to. Locals really rate the onsite farm shop here for fresh, home-grown produce.
