Leave the toddlers at home and take your teen/tweenagers for a good browse. Expect local produce mixed with quirky art and homeware.

Painting a Cornish Scene, Tue 29 May, 10.00am – 1pm (age 8 – 10), 2pm – 5pm (age 11 – 14)
Looking at the style of Naive artists and their use of vibrant colours and detail, children will be encouraged to explore creative ways of producing an exciting contemporary Cornish landscape or seascape painting. £35 including all materials
Outdoor Landscape Painting, Fri 1 Jun, 10.00am – 1pm (age 8 – 10), 2pm – 5pm (age 11 – 14)
Looking at the work of famous landscape painters, children will be encouraged to look at their styles and develop these into their own paintings. They will go outside (weather permitting) make studies and draw the landscape to scale on canvases plus look at prespective, shapes, patterns, shadows and textures. They will also look at the colour wheel and learn how to mix secondary colours from primary colours. £35 including all materials

Doctor Dolittle, The Lights, Andover, Tue May 29
Dolittle and his animal gang have to find Long Arrow, the great explorer, fend off Mr Slymrott who wants to seize their home and defend themselves against cut-throat pirates. Will they succeed? Come along and take part in this epic journey.

How about stepping into the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss this summer half term? In just two days, youngster aged 7 – 18 will create a swift but exciting drama based on the childhood classic: Oh the Places You’ll Go!
