The Wight Proms are back for 2022, a week of fantastic concerts from Tuesday 16 to Sunday 21 August at Northwood Park near Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
Starting off with the multi award-winning hilarious children’s TV show, Horrible Histories, the week continues with Isle of Pride on Wednesday 17 August, featuring RuPaul Drag Race UK drag queens Ella Vaday, Choriza May and Kitty Scott-Claus (above).
On Thursday 18 August, Isle of Opera is a fabulous gala featuring some of the best-loved arias, from the world of Verdi, Puccini, Mozart and more. Then on Friday 19 August, it’s a ‘Wight Laugh’ with comedy from the brilliant Julian Clary.
Wight at the Musicals is on Saturday 20 August, featuring G4 frontman Jonathan Ansell and Britain’s Got Talent winner Jai McDowell. They’ll be belting out classics from the likes of Les Miserables, Phantom Of The Opera, Wicked, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Greatest Showman, Miss Saigon, Chess and We Will Rock You.
Rounding off the week, on Sunday 21 August, it’s all about the flag waving, Pomp and Circumstance and Jerusalem at Last Wight of the Proms, featuring the multi-platinum selling X-Factor stars, G4.
