Your kids can slide, swing or climb their way around the new adventure play area installed in 2018, little ones have their own play zone to enjoy, there are sand pits, water play and diggers, miniature railway (£1.50 extra), an animal farm and petting barn (seasonal), welly wheels for young drivers, splash zone, 12 holes of mini golf and dinosaurs roaming (ok not roaming) the grounds.

Wellington Country Park also puts on loads of events too, so keep your eyes peeled for Pirates and Mermaids Weekend, Bouncy Castles in the Park, Unicorns, Fairies and Pixies, Easter bunny fun, a spooktacular Halloween, open air cinema and more.

Within the woodland, there are four nature trails to follow. One allows you to get up close and personal to the resident herd of Red and Fallow deer. On sunny days head to the the beautiful 35-acre lake for a family picnic or BBQ. There’s also cafe to feed your hungry hoard if you couldn’t face making 10 rounds of sarnies, or are still waiting for the food shop to be delivered.

It’s worth noting, the Duke of Wellington ploughs all the profits back into the park to make it a bigger and better experience for local families. How great is that?
