The Wellington Arms, Stratfield Turgis

The Wellington Arms at Stratfield Turgis is a classic British pub with a grand ol’ duke next door. Enjoy local food, rural views and 25 boutique rooms.

It’s not often you come across a large pub with bags of personality, but The Wellington Arms in Strafield Turgis is a country pub that is comfortable in its own skin. Despite its size, the decor is warm and welcoming with witty artwork and eclectic touches.

The food offering is a pleasing menu of ‘there there’ classics – and all tastes are catered for. It has 25 boutique bedrooms and a rather lovely blank canvas function room. plus a newly landscaped garden area with views across the fields. So if you’re throwing a post lockdown party or looking for a wedding venue, you can all dance into the small hours and enjoy a hassle-free stagger to bed.

Situated on the 7,000-acre Wellington Estate (home to the Duke of Wellington), The Wellington is the perfect location for catching up with friends over a G&T (or two!), enjoying delicious food to celebrate a special occasion with loved ones or a place to recharge your batteries during a relaxing overnight stay.

We love the pub’s commitment to source produce from local suppliers; from prime cuts of meat from British farmers, to craft ales from local breweries, including its own microbrewery in Surrey.

It’s all about keeping those food miles low but the quality high. There’s also ample parking and electric car charging ports for Teslas and, er, non Teslas – a great addition now the world is going electric car crazy.
