UK Rum is becoming the trendiest tipple in town – and the award-winning, Hampshire-based producer V Rum proves why.





Bold, local, sustainable and beautifully crafted, Hampshire-based V Rum is proof indeed that British rum can be sophisticated, eco-conscious and seriously drinkable, whether neat or mixed.
This sustainable British rum is made from scratch using locally sourced, natural-quality ingredients at V Rum’s eco-minded state-of-the-art distillery in Hampshire. Despite being a relative newcomer, having launched in 2024, V Rum won multiple stars from the Great Taste Awards and other accolades, including a Gold award at the Spirits Business Global Rum & Cachaça Masters 2025.
The V Rum distillery runs on 100% renewable electricity, uses molasses from UK sugar production to limit air miles and has plans for solar panels and lighter packaging. Even the labels are crafted from leftover sugar cane fibre. Production is led by head distiller Mikey Melrose, under the watchful eye of husband-and-wife founders Carl and Nicole Churchill.
Fast becoming the trendiest tipple in town, V Rum’s current range includes a premium white rum, an overproof version and a spiced rum, all of which have already won over online customers and high-end venues like The Savoy. Handily, the producer also has a range of ready-to-drink cans including Grapefruit Twist, Tropical Crush and Spiced Rum Cola.
