The Retreat

Muddy says: Quick! Pack your bags and escape from life’s hectic pace for just a bit. The Retreat, located in the beautiful New Forest will recharge your batteries and you soul all in one go.

Sometimes it’s hard to just stop. Modern busy life, hyphenated roles and the general pressure to keep chugging on can certainly put a strain on not on your body but your mental health as well. So, rather than throwing back a few restorative gins and carrying on how about really making some time to just reconnect and “be” within the moment.

Enter The Retreat, New Forest. This little slice of paradise is the place to unplug your brain from the real world and re-centre yourself. Located in a gorgeous Georgian building surrounded by beautiful gardens, here you can take classes and workshops in Yoga, Gong Baths, Reiki weekend retreats, tai chi, drumming circles, doggie gong baths, mindfulness workshops, forest bathing and generally have a bit of me-time while you stay in one of the 15 beautifully appointed rooms.

One of the absolute highlights of this place is its Conscious Clubbing events, a quick booze-free nip back to the 90s for a boogie to raise your happy buzzy endorphins while getting fit and having a giggle.

They also have some super popular plant-based pop-up restaurant days, with the likes of local plant-based chefs Green Label Chef, Wylde Green Kitchen and Holy Cow. So if you’re a bit of a foodie you can chow down guilt-free with things like ethical locally-roasted Bad Hand Coffee; Naked Jams, and the original no-sugar/alcohol/junk botanical drink-drop: Positive Potions.

So, grab a bag and head to the forest to come back feeling recharged, refreshed (and maybe covered in a bit of eco-friendly glitter too).
