The Point, Eastleigh

Muddy says: Bringing showbiz sparkle to Eastleigh, The Point opens its doors on a regular basis for community events and amazing shows.

Bringing spectacle and performance to their boards since 1996, The Point theatre Eastleigh is home to a rolling roster of shows and performances throughout the year. Based in the centre of town, it’s both a community hub and a place for culture vultures to see everything from contemporary dance and theatre to comedy, aerial dance and circus and combined arts.

Owned and managed by Eastleigh Borough Council, The Point has Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisation status.

Not just a performance venue, The Point theatre Eastleigh has a dance studio hosting regular classes, a café and spaces available to hire. Among them, The Creation Space is a hub for creative pursuits, with immersive artist residencies attracting talent from across the UK and internationally.

As well as creative arts inside the building, the Point theatre goes outside into the community to connect with as many people as possible. There’s the free festival Unwrapped in Eastleigh and Hedge End town centres. Summer Social activities mean live music, games, yoga, arts and craft activities and more on the garden stage. And the theatre also puts on comedy and other community events at the nearby Itchen Valley Country Park.

Great night out without the train ride into London? Supported by sister showhouse, The Berry Theatre in Hedge End, catch great entertainment and West End razzle-dazzle at The Point theatre in Eastleigh – without having to leave Hampshire. Click here to find out what’s coming up.
