Originally part of the Paultons estate, The Mortimer Arms’ characterful Victorian building dates back to the 1800s. Close to Romsey and located within the beautiful New Forest National Park, less than 10 minutes’ walk away, the pub’s close neighbour is the brilliant Paultons Park. Home, of course, to tots’ hero – Peppa Pig World!

Under new management from November 2024, locals, families and dogs all get a warm welcome at The Mortimer Arms. Freshly prepared using local and seasonal produce where possible, the menu includes hearty pub classics like pie, burgers, steaks and fish and chips.

There’s also a good choice of Mediterranean-style starters and sharers, fish and meaty mains, with veggie and vegan options too. And special mention for the generous Sunday roast, a real weekend highlight. Visiting families will be happy to know that The Mortimer Arms also has a very well-priced Kid’s Menu – with plenty of choice.
