Restaurant AO, Southampton

Follow in the footsteps of the Michelin inspectors and head for this fine dining restaurant at Sunnyfields Farm near Southampton.

Fine dining in a fresh location at Sunnyfields Farm – Southampton’s Restaurant AO moved here in 2023 with plenty of farm fresh, seasonal ingredients to use in their foodie fine dining.

Born and raised in Southampton, Restaurant AO’s Chef Patron is Daniel Rogan, a local lad going all out to win over local diners and national critics with his delicious, detailed dishes and meticulously sourced ingredients.

Son of the multi-Michelin starred Simon Rogan, Daniel has been obsessed with fine dining since his early teenage years. He honed his culinary skills and eye for detail in some of the UK’s best restaurants, including L’Enclume, Marcus at The Berkeley and Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea. Perhaps not surprising then that Restaurant AO has already secured a listing in the Michelin guidebook.

Each of the ten carefully curated courses on the tasting menu (or optional five-course lunch) feature the best ingredients sourced from in and around Hampshire and change regularly to reflect what’s available from local farms. Among them, Restaurant AO champions the likes of Southampton’s JS Fresh Fish, Beaulieu-based Bellord and Brown, Hoxton Bakehouse and Lusso Leaf microgreens.
