The Red Lion, Odiham
Muddy says: A convivial, relaxed, family-friendly pub with rooms and impeccably sourced, local comfort food in the buzzy village of Odiham.
The Red Lion feels daisy-fresh, from its interiors to its enthusiastic staff. No surprises then that, back in spring, Red Mist Leisure’s most recent venture had a facelift worthy of Joan Rivers and was voted ‘Newcomer of the Year’ at Hampshire Life’s 2017 Food & Drink Awards.
The rooms are airy and inviting: all soaring beams, posh smellies, and deep pillows, perfect for a night a deux. If you want to bring children though, they are well catered for with travel cots and bath toys.
The food is dig-in-and-eat good with impeccable local provenance all served by friendly, intelligent staff who know a good Rioja when they see it.
Lots to do in buzzy Odiham, browse some of the local indy boutiques including fellow Muddy LBB’ers & awards winners Moutan, Libelula and Originals. Basingstoke Canal is an easy five minute walk away, with miles of off-road cycling, boating and of course walking.
