A place to eat, drink, shop and hang out with something for all the family – and free parking to-boot? Yep, you read that right. Romantic meal for two, trip to the flicks, day out with the kiddos, shops for all the family (including the dog!). Port Solent really has got it all.

There’s not just one marina restaurant, café or bar here. No, ma’am – Port Solent’s got 14!

Take your pick from La Casa Flamenca Spanish Tapas Bar, Prachee Indian Restaurant, Gracie Ann’s Tea Room (and ice cream parlour), Koh Thai and Relentless HQ seafood and tapas bar.

Or how about Wildwood, with its Mediterranean food and extensive kids menu? Port Solent is also home to family favourite restaurants like Zizzi, Prezzo and Harvester. And for grown ups, there’s Insta-worthy café bar The Botanical.

There’s plenty of retail therapy to be had at Port Solent so be sure to bring a roomy tote. Shop at sporty and outdoor shops like Snow + Rock and Runner’s Need, get casual gear at Cotton Traders and find womenswear and accessories at Quintessential Boutique.

The brilliantly-named ‘Stash by the Sea’ sells cards, gifts and crafts. And there’s Bow Wows at No. 7’s pet shop and doggie grooming salon, Nails by Airisa – and loads more lovely indie shops to explore.

Want to make the most of that unlimited free parking? See the latest movie release with a bucketload of popcorn and let the kids go wild in the playground. Feel like a workout? Port Solent even has a David Lloyd gym!

Keep an eye out for regular events here too, like the year-round Car Meets, Sunday Waterside Markets (May – Nov) free kids clubs and special events in the school holidays and free live summer concerts.
