A spot of rustic glamour in the New Forest, The Pig is known for its amazing culinary repertoire and sumptuous, but relaxing, rooms.

The first and original, The Pig is one of those hotels you’ll often find dropped into a conversation like a top London restaurant.

With 32 bedrooms, the country house sits happily a couple of miles outside of Brockenhurst town centre, deep in the New Forest.

Decor-wise the whole place feels stylish and well put together but in a simple, modest fashion. With little touches that are a nod to the countryside surrounding it, it’s a little oasis of calm and tranquillity, worlds away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The famous Kitchen Garden

The hotel is so famous that it’s even got its very own book, filled with delicious recipes and guides on how to make your home life more like The Pig, plus the famous Smoked & Uncut music festival that happens every year.

For those staying, you can choose from numerous types of room. Some such as Snug, Comfy and Comfy Luxe feature large walk-in Monsoon showers and the Comfy Luxe boudoirs also have freestanding baths.

Or, if you’re looking for something a bit bigger for all the family the hotel also has gorgeous Family Rooms (complete with bunk beds and a log burner). In the market for something a little… quirkier? Then book a stay at one of the unique properties the hotel is home to, such as Bert’s Box or the Forest Hut.

If you’re looking for a bit of pampering during your stay, then definitely make an appointment at one of the on-site treatment rooms located in, of all things, a converted Potting Shed and a Shepherd’s Hut!

The Pig is particularly noted for the restaurant – in fact, it often refers to itself a restaurant with rooms. Much like Muddy, The Pig are big fans of keeping it local and have the now famous “25 mile menu”. Here the love of hyperlocal fare is at the very heart of what they do.

With an ever-changing menu, complete with ingredients from the famous Kitchen Garden, Group Chef Director James and Golding and the PIG kitchen team create dishes that are worth shouting about.
