The Mill Inn, Gordleton
Muddy says: Pretty view, excellent homemade food and a building that’s full of character and whimsy. Say hello to The Mill Inn in Gordleton.
Nice drink, excellent food and a lovely view, what else could you ask for? For a place that has those three things in abundance, then The Mill Inn, Gordleton is definitely worth stopping at. This gorgeous little traditional inn located on the edge of the River Avon is the perfect New Forest hideaway for a drink, meal or stay.
The menu, bursting with local produce (definitely check out the New Forest venison if you can), is also able to boast an entirely homemade repertoire – everything from soup to ice-cream is made on site. They even do a mean Afternoon Tea as well, perfect for enjoying next to the river.
With 12 beautifully appointed rooms to stay in, the inn also has its very own ‘Secret Garden’, filled with sculptures and art, allowing visitors to tick the whole foodie/culture thing in one fell swoop.
