Top hair stylists Jack Mead and Lydia Wolfe are well known in the New Forest and beyond for their cool and quirky salon, Jack and the Wolfe.

Jack trained as a top stylist in London and opened Jack and the Wolfe in 2019 with his wife and business partner Lydia, previously a top Southsea-based stylist.

A cool brand with quirky Shoreditch décor, the coastal town of Lymington isn’t the most likely location for this slightly edgy hairdressers. But the duo fell in love with a beautiful 350-year-old townhouse on the pretty cobbled Quay Hill and judged (rightly) that their vision to create a luxury hair experience for clients looking for something a little bit different would go down well here.

Since then, Jack and the Wolfe have become well known for their creative colouring and styling techniques. And along with a busy appointments book, the salon and its team have gone on to achieve industry recognition and accolades. Jack appeared on one on E4’s biggest reality styling shows, The Big Blow Out and took the gong for Digital Trailblazer at the 2022 Salon Awards, where Jack and the Wolfe colourist Kat Duke also took home the award for Colourist of the Year.

In what turned out to be a very big year for Jack and the Wolfe, the salon was then over the moon to be picked as a finalist in the Southern Hairdresser of the Year category at The British Hairdressing Awards 2022, universally recognised as the Oscars of hairdressing.
