A proper Hampshire hideaway in the idyllic countryside hamlet of Amport, the Hawk Inn is a great place to stop for a meal or stay for the weekend.

Part of the Upham Inns group and located just outside of Andover, it’s set alongside chocolate box cottages, beautiful country gardens and rolling hills, with nine boutique bedrooms and a sandstone terrace looking out over stunning views of the Pill Hill Brook.

Family and dog friendly with a well-priced children’s menu, The Hawk Inn has a warm welcome for all. The modern main menu features all-day brunch, plenty of pub classics, summery tapas and homemade flatbreads and salads. There’s a great choice of roasts on Sunday and afternoon teas here, too.

Dogs that are visiting the pet-friendly pub can enjoy a meal from the canine menu. It features full dinner bowls for hungry dogs, chews and treats, dog-friendly ice cream and even alcohol free dog beer. Lucky dogs with an overnight reservation get their own doggy bed, blanket, bowl and welcome box of tasty treats.

Close to Andover and the A303, and conveniently located between the M4 and M3, The Hawk Inn is makes the ideal base to explore Andover and its surrounding areas, with the amazing UNESCO World Heritage site of Stonehenge just over the border a mere 20 minutes’ drive.

Just around the corner there’s exciting birds of prey shows at The Hawk Conservancy. Other museums, attractions and family fun in the area include nearby Finkley Down Farm, Andover Museum and the Museum of the Iron Age, The Museum of Army Flying and Thruxton Race Circuit.
