Freshwater Coffee House, West Wight
A warm, family-friendly welcome, gorgeous cakes, artisan tea and coffee plus lunch dishes for all diets awaits at this Freshwater village café
Head to the Freshwater Coffee House in Freshwater village for fantastic homemade cakes, lunch specials and a friendly welcome. The cheerful independent is run by ex-mainlanders Stefan and Becky. They loved the Island so much that they escaped the corporate life in London and moved here with their young family. Naturally, it has a super-relaxed family-friendly vibe. They’ve even got drawers full of toys to distract the littlies so they won’t snaffle your homemade goodies the minute they hit the table…
If you have a special diet, it’s good to know you’ll be well-catered for here. The menu includes a good selection for vegan, veggie, gluten free and dairy-free diets. The loose-leaf tea and Island-roasted coffee is also sold by the bag, so if you love it, be sure to buy one to take home. Oh, and reusable cups and other goodies too. Dog-friendly and committed to local causes (Lifeboat, Anxiety Café and plastic-free Freshwater), there’s a whole lot of heart in this community-minded café pitstop.
