Duxmore Botanics, Isle of Wight

Ethically sourced and beautifully botanically-scented, Island-inspired skincare and home fragrance

A true Island-born business, Duxmore Botanics is based on a farm in the chalk downlands of the Isle of Wight, an area of outstanding natural beauty with breath-taking views of the sea and rolling hills.

The talent behind the sublime home fragrance and bodycare products is Char, an extremely well qualified aromatherapist, cosmetic scientist and holistic massage therapist with 13 years’ experience working at a major UK botanical-based skincare brand.

What started out as a small kitchen table enterprise has stayed on the farm but expanded quite considerably. Every part of Duxmore Botanics, from the visuals to the product formulas, is inspired by the Isle of Wight and the beautiful farm, sea and countryside, like the botanical borders, natural wood and grey barns and windows that are picked up on packaging and branding.

Duxmore Botanics even has a dedicated Isle of Wight-inspired home fragrance collection – The Island – which blends pure essential oils of Eucalyptus, Rosemary, Black Pepper, Vetiver and Cypress (deep inhale). Like the rest of the home fragrance range, candles, reed diffusers, room sprays and essential oil blends are carefully curated and hand-crafted in-house, using pure essential oils.

Experts in botanics and skincare, the ingredients used in Duxmore Botanics’ products are chosen for their unique skin benefits. Soaps, salts, oils and beauty balms are all expertly created to cleanse, restore and revive with their feel-good scents. Most of the range is suitable for vegans (with the exception of the Botanical Beauty Balm, which contains beeswax) and assessed by an independent Safety Assessor before going on sale. Products are then sent out packaged in plastic-free recyclable materials.

Char and her team are also very eco and ethically-conscious when it comes to choosing the high quality and responsibly-sourced ingredients they use – like the Shea butter sourced direct from a women’s cooperative in Ghana, the proceeds of which support a community of over 2,400 people. Pure essential oils from responsible growers are extracted from leaves, twigs, bark, flowers, roots and fruits of the original source.
