Catch Fabulous Fishcakes
Muddy says: Say goodbye to the Fish & Chip Shop, these gourmet fishcakes are going to blow your tastebuds out of the water.
The humble fishcake. A staple of the local chippy, a major people pleaser for many a year and now an absolute foodie icon. Don’t believe me? Then you will once you’ve tried the amazing (and I do mean, amazing!) fishcakes from Catch.
Launched back in 2008 by ‘Fairy Codmother’ Hayley Elston on the Isle of Wight, these pescatarian delights were born from a passion of protecting the fishing industry and starting a sustainability revolution. Starting off as the legendary Bestival Festival Fishfinger Sandwich (always the first stall I headed to myself!), the company has grown into selling a huge range of items across the South from its new New Forest HQ.
They are award-winners too with Crabbie Crabcakes and the Mac ‘n’ Hari Fishcakes scooping Great Taste Awards in 2019. These fishcakes have that perfect balance of handmade, high-end flavour with something quick to cook up on a weeknight.
There’s plenty to choose from as well, with the range including Mac ‘n’ Beet (which also are a fabulous red colour!), The Colonial (complete with a hint of curry, nom nom nom) and even the company’s own range of sauces (the Tantatalising Tartare is my youngest’s absolute favourite).
So ditch the takeaways, whack on the oven and get these gourmet fishcakes down your gills. You won’t regret it!
