Careys Manor Hotel, Brockenhurst

Muddy says: Can’t decide between a seaside break and a forest retreat? Well at Careys Manor you don’t have to. This luxury hotel is tucked in-between the two for the ultimate countryside getaway.

Careys Manor

With 77 beautiful rooms located in the picturesque village of Brockenhurst in the New Forest, Careys Manor is the place to slow down and enjoy a bit of peace and tranquillity without needing to step out of the hotel.

The beautiful 18th-century Manor House has layer upon layer of history, dating right back to the era of Charles II, before becoming the luxury hotel and spa it is today.

Guests checking in will be treated to a sumptuous king-size or super king-sized bed, with each one locally sourced and made by Hampshire craftsmen. Even the bedding gets the luxe treatment as well featuring cotton, silk and lamb’s wool from Dorset (can we take it home, please?)

There’s also been some amazing renovations recently really worth shouting about, with the hotel’s in-house interior designer JoJo Macnamara completely redesigning the Manor Suite (complete with tranquil colours and gorgeous designer wallpaper) and the Four Poster Manor Suite (with a Mira Velvet sofa, marble tiled bathroom and glorious wooden four-poster bed). Total and utter design goals right there.

For dining, there’s a choice of three fantastic restaurants: modern-British cuisine with a New Forest twist at the recently refurbished CambiumLe Blaireau embodies the food and flavour of France with all the character of a Parisian Brasserie and the Zen Garden channels authentic Thai flavours and opulent decor featuring bamboo and exotic fauna in this unique eatery.

And, for a little rest and reflection time be sure to check out the award-winning SenSpa on site.

The hotel also hosts numerous events throughout the year with wedding events (and yes, you can have a super glamorous wedding here as well), learn massage workshops and plenty of Christmas fun.
