Bramshaw Golf Club, Brook, New Forest
Fore! A historic golf club with two courses, spa treatments and a foodie pub right next door, this New Forest spot makes a great place to tee off from.
The oldest golf course in Hampshire, the Forest Course at Bramshaw Golf Club was built on New Forest heathland in about 1865.
Known and loved by members and visiting players for its beautiful scenery, roaming ponies and deer, golfers also have the option to play the Manor course here too, opened in 1971, set in a landscaped parkland of mature trees and 200-year-old hardwood plantations.
Open to all, there’s an active ladies and juniors golf scene at the club, which also has a fitness and wellbeing centre. Jump on the Peleton, do some weights or book a session with the personal trainer. Unlike other clubhouses you can properly unwind too, with a massage, mani-pedi and other beauty treatments.
The restaurant at Bramshaw Golf Club is next to the main bar on the first floor with views over the Manor Course, a very nice spot for weddings and corporate events.
Offering golf breaks for visitors at Bramshaw Golf Club, The Bell Inn 26-room country pub and restaurant is on the same site – and makes a perfect spot to unwind after a successful (or disastrous) few holes with a meal and a well-earned glass or two by the fire.
