Director David Littlewood and his wife love the way makers in Asia managed to breathe new life into reclaimed materials and create one-off, eco-friendlier furniture. After a few years living in Asia and exploring Indonesia, they created a retail offer that combined blue waters of their South Coast home with the paired-back, reclaimed pieces they admired in Asia, encapsulated in the name Blue Bamboo (or, more snappily, BluBambu – geddit?).

Staying true to their original vision, the offer has continued to evolve in a good direction: think sustainably crafted, reclaimed teak furniture, a carefully curated mix of Scandi-inspired accessories and contemporary coastal homewares and a good range of pieces handcrafted from reclaimed materials by skilled artisans.
