33 St. Helens, East Wight

Expect a warm welcome and well-executed menu of bistro classics at this family-friendly restaurant in St. Helens, East Wight

33 St. Helens is an East Wight bistro with a friendly-feel. Its menu aims to please with classics like steak, risotto and fish dishes. There’s also a good selection of veggie and kids’ choices.

Run by husband and wife team Clare and Tom, locals are full of plaudits for Clare’s warm hosting style and Tom’s “top class” dishes. The couple took over 33 St. Helens in 2019, bringing with them extensive catering experience.

In the kitchen, chef Tom uses plenty of the Island’s great local produce. Expect local beef, freshly-caught fish and – of course – the rightly famous Isle of Wight tomatoes. Previously, Clare and Tom lived in Thailand and have introduced a few classic curries, too.

On Sunday, its all about the roast, with beef, pork, chicken and veggie options. All come served with served with duck fat & rosemary roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, red cabbage, tender stem broccoli, honey roasted parsnips and red wine jus. Yum.
