Fancy super chic designer furniture complete with Hampshire origins? Then check out the work of the awesome Julian Chichester.
Imagine slinking into the gorgeous lines of this Amalfi sofa… glass of wine, book in hand. Bliss. This curved classic just one of the pieces about to be launched by furniture aficionado and Hants resident Julian Chichester at this month’s London Design Week.
With a mid-century modern edge, his furniture is well known for its interesting mix-up of traditional English and more eccentric shapes and accents, as well as superior craftsmanship. And it’s not just chairs, he creates everything from sofas to beds, gin cabinets (definitely my favourite kind of cabinet) to vases, plus much more.
As well as the ready-to-buy range there is also has a bespoke service so you can tweak each of items for your own home and space. And many of the items can also be personalised with a number of specialist finishes with swish names like gesso, brass wrapping and verre eglomise.
Julian’s work is well known worldwide and he has showrooms of his work in London’s Chelsea and in the New York Design Center on Lexington Avenue. However, he’s actually originally from Hampshire and often holds special outlet sales in Bordon (including a couple this month!) Here you can pick up samples and ex-display pieces of his work for a fraction of the cost, so you can zhuzh up your home with luxe pieces for less.
Best get redecorating the living room then…
