Planning a posh meal? Hot off the press, the AA Rosettes have been dished out to 47 brilliant local restaurants around Hampshire and the Isle of Wight

Top-notch dining: The Terrace Restaurant at the Montagu Arms Hotel, Beaulieu

Hot off the press, The AA have just published their coveted AA Rosette awards, ranking restaurants all around Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Want to know how your local did? Here’s the verdict!

Four restaurants in Hampshire achieved a three rosette rating, 27 received two rosettes and 12 snagged one rosette – a brilliant 43 awards in all around the county.

The Terrace Restaurant at the Montagu Arms Hotel in Beaulieu has retained it’s three AA rosette ranking under head chef Matthew Whitfield. They say: “You’ll find the best available local produce on the menu, whether south coast hake or wild garlic from the Forest.”

Emsworth’s 36 on the Quay also got a three AA rosette rating. The guide highlights the restaurant’s “gently contemporary interpretations of classic dishes” and “wonderful setting, in a 17th-century building.”

Featured on TV earlier this year after celebrity maître d’ Fred Sirieix paid a visit, the AA inspectors are also big fans of Lymington’s three AA rosette Elderflower Restaurant. “Whether it’s the à la carte or tasting menus, expect well-balanced dishes with a real depth of flavour.”
