Muddy says: A fab boutique, stocking beautifully cut clothes designed by McQueen and Temperley alumna, Sophie Cranston. Psst. a certain Ms Middleton’s a fan.
So moving to the country means waving ta’ra to the kind of small, designer-lead boutiques found in town? Wrong, and wrong again.
In the Muddy Mecca that is Odiham, you’ll find Libélula.
Owner, Sophie Cranston is a McQueen and Temperley alumna and now designs most of the stock.
Expect beautifully cut, luxurious fabrics in everything from easy shirts, jumpers & coats to foxy, fabulous party dresses fit for royalty. Yes literally — a certain Ms Middleton has worn Libélula. Fact.
Cranston studied fashion design and honed her skills in the backrooms of Saville Row and Bellville Sassoon. Later, she won the super-spivvy Designer of the Year at Graduate Fashion Week 1999, fellow winners: John Galliano, Christopher Bailey and Alexander McQueen. After working for McQueen and Temperley she escaped to southern Spain and learnt flamenco. I mean who wouldn’t? And so Libélula, meaning dragonfly, was born and the rest, my friends, is history.
Wedding & bridesmaid dresses in signature shapes and fabrics are also available.
