Didn’t We Have Fun?

The Muddy Awards Drinks

We came, we saw, we drank fizz: much Muddy mirth and merriment was had in Alresford’s soaring White Space at the inaugural Muddy Hants Awards Drinks.

Winners chowed on Hampshire rhubarb and yoghurt cake, homemade by the Muddy Mama (a.k.a. Tessa Lee) plus oodles of prosecco.

Clockwise from top left: Trudy Simmons, The Daisy Chain Group; Liz Raffles, The Mantique (Winner: Best Men’s Store); Mary Malyon, editor Muddy Hants;  Kelly Barfoot, Boxxfresh (Winner: Best Local Food Producer); Frank Lee, a.k.a. The Muddy Stepdad! Credit: Leela Bennett photography.

And oh, what a stylish bunch my Muddy winners were: less on-trend, more climbing a-top Vogue’s September issue.

Props to La Di Da’s Steph Briggs and her emerald Blessed In London earrings; Best Fitness Instructor, Tors Corbett’s striped Hush dress; and Boxxfresh Kelly Barfoot’s animal-print heels.

It was a lunchtime event and we’re all responsible adults so boozy goss was thin on the ground, although I was itching to kick-off the red stilettos when Alresford Music Festival ramped up the sound-system with juicy tunes from Molotov Jukebox, Urban Lions, Wolf Club et al. Forget Pacha…

Talking of cherries, we were White Space’s very first event; first of many, watch this erm, space.

Huge, huge love and thanks to all our winners, finalists and everyone involved in the awards.

Big-ups to Leela Bennett for the wonderful photography and scroll-down for a full list of our winners and amaze-balls finalists.

Over and out my Muddy friends.
